Thane: Two-Wheeler Rider Died While Dodging Potholes In Dombivli
Dombivli, 21th July 2023: In a heartbreaking incident, a 23-year-old two-wheeler rider lost his life on Thursday night while travelling on Dwarli Road in the Kalyan Malang area. The road, notorious for its riddling potholes, has become a dangerous route for commuters.
The victim, identified as Suraj Gawari, a resident of the Chinchpada area of Kalyan East, tragically breathed his last after he fell under the rear wheel of a passing dumper.
The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m., raising concerns among local residents who are now alleging that the poorly maintained road’s condition was the primary reason behind the tragic incident. A case has been registered regarding the incident at the Ulhasnagar Hill Line Police Station.
According to local police officer Chetan Patil, 23-year-old Suraj was navigating the treacherous stretch of Dwarli Road when he encountered several potholes. While trying to dodge these potholes, he misjudged his balance, leading to the fateful accident.
