Thane Witnesses Hailstorm Along With Unseasonal Rain

Thane, 7th March 2023: Unseasonal hail accompanied by gusty winds lashed Thane on Monday night. Many trees were damaged due to this rain. Some people went outside to watch the hailstorm.

Rain was predicted by the Meteorological Department in Maharashtra. A strong wind was witnessed in Thane, Kalwa, Mumbra and Diva areas on Monday evening. At night, unseasonal rain was accompanied by lightning. Due to this rain, the farmers suffered losses. Citizens who went out for work at night suffered. Hail rains also occurred in some areas. As soon as they got the information about the hailstorm, many people came out of their houses to collect hailstones and watch the rain. On Tuesday, the atmosphere in the city was chilly.
