There will be no paucity of fund for international memorial of Lok Shahir Annabhau Sathe: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai, August 01/08/2022:- There will be no paucity of funds for erecting the memorial of Sahitya Ratna Lok Shahir Annabhau Sathe, said chief minister Mr Eknath Shinde. Along with deputy chief minister Mr Devendra Fadnavis, he paid floral tribute at the statue of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe on his 102nd birth anniversary by offering flowers at his statue at Chembur. The chief minister was speaking on this occasion.

 

 

 

MP Rahul Shewale, MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLA Mangesh Kudalkar, MLA Mangesh Lad and office bearers of Lok Shahir Annabhau Sathe Smarak Samiti were present at this function.

 

 

 

Speaking further, chief minister Mr Shinde said that we are celebrating the Amrut Mahotsav of independence of our nation and AnnaBhau Sathe had contributed in the Samyukt Maharashtra movement adding that this great leader created awakening at national level through his Powadas. Mr Shinde said that he was a revolutionary leader and to ahead his work we intend to erect his huge memorial.

 

 

 

He also said that the decision to convert his house into a memorial will soon be taken. The chief minister said that in the past the decision to construct the memorial was taken and assured that there will be no lack of funds for erecting the memorial. He said that the decision regarding Annabhau Sathe Corporation will also be taken soon. Stating that the developmental works in the state will be speeded up, he said that as soon as his government had taken the reigns of the state, several decisions in public interest have been taken in very less time. He said that this is the government that will be giving justice to the common people of the state.

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, deputy chief minister Mr Devendra Fadnavis said that Sahityaratn Lokshahir AnnaBhau Sathe was a revolutionary leader who brought about positive changes and as such his work is noteworthy. He said that he Lokshahir was capable of bringing about change and he had the strength of 27 languages. He also assured that his house would be preserved as a memorial and Annabhau Sathe Corporation will be given a fillip. Mr Fadnavis also said that meetings will be organized to solve all the long pending issues. He also said that the memorial of Lahuji Wastad Salve will be constructed in Pune and the recommendations of the commission would be given approval. He reiterated that the state government is committed to take ahead the work of Sahityaratn Loksahahir Annabhau Sathe.
