Tree Collapses onto School Wall in Thane, Damaging Parked Vehicles

Thane, 24th August 2024: On Saturday, a tree collapsed onto a school’s retaining wall in Thane city, causing damage to several parked vehicles. The incident took place in the Pokhran-2 area shortly after 3 PM, according to Yasin Tadvi, head of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Emergency teams promptly arrived at the scene and used cutting tools to clear the fallen tree.

The debris from the damaged wall, measuring about 10 to 15 feet in length and 4 feet in height, was removed along with the affected cars and two-wheelers, Tadvi noted.
