Two Children Found Deceased Inside Parked Car in Central Mumbai

Mumbai, 26th April 2024: Tragic news emerged from central Mumbai as two children, Muskan Mohabbat Shaikh (5) and Sajid Mohammed Shaikh (7), were discovered lifeless inside a parked car at Antop Hill after being missing for several hours. Authorities suspect that the children succumbed to suffocation, as the car was found locked from the inside, and the children were unable to unlock it.

The heart-wrenching incident unfolded as the children, playing near their homes where the car was parked, failed to return home by evening. Concerned parents initiated a search and subsequently filed a missing complaint with the Antop Hill police station. Shortly afterward, a passerby made the tragic discovery of the unconscious children inside the car.

Despite prompt efforts to rescue them, the children were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Initial investigations suggest suffocation as the cause of death due to being trapped inside the locked car. Police are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity and exploring all possible angles in their investigation. At present, authorities have registered a case of accidental death.
