Wanted Criminal Gautam Nirmal Gaud Arrested in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai, 6th July 2024: On Friday, Navi Mumbai police apprehended Gautam Nirmal Gaud (25), a wanted criminal with a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head and accused in two attempted murder cases in Uttar Pradesh. Senior Inspector Nitin Thackeray disclosed that Gorakhpur police had alerted their counterparts in Navi Mumbai about Gaud’s possible presence in Badlapur, following which a police team from Panvel was dispatched.
“Gaud was apprehended near a temple in Badlapur where he had been residing with his wife after fleeing Uttar Pradesh,” Thackeray stated. “He is wanted by UP police and has been granted transit remand for further investigation.”
This operation underscores ongoing inter-state cooperation among law enforcement agencies to apprehend fugitives and address criminal activities across regions.
