Mumbai: Aditya Thackeray Mocks CM Eknath Shinde Over Beach Cleaning Approach

Mumbai, 10th December 2023: Aditya Thackeray, a prominent political figure, took a jibe at Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over his approach to beach cleaning during a recent beach cleaning campaign in Mumbai. Shinde had participated in the cleaning drive during the winter session, using a tractor to clean the beach.
Aditya Thackeray sarcastically remarked, “Does anyone clean the beach by taking a tractor into the water?” He suggested that Shinde should have sought advice on beach cleaning methods, stating, “Before they posed, they should have called me and asked how they clean the beach. I have been a colleague for so many years. If you had told me once, I would have told you how it’s done.”
Aditya Thackeray humorously highlighted the unconventional approach taken by Shinde and emphasized the need for practical and effective methods for beach cleaning.
Shifting the focus to environmental concerns, Aditya Thackeray addressed the changing climate, heavy rainfall, and hail during a single season, leading to increased migration. He mentioned attending the COP conference and stressed the importance of formulating policies to address the impact of climate change on farmers and citizens.
In his remarks, Aditya Thackeray also raised concerns voiced by farmers, stating that they felt neglected since the change in chief ministership. Farmers reportedly expressed dissatisfaction, claiming they had not received the same level of support and debt relief under the new chief minister as they did when Uddhav Thackeray held the position.
Aditya Thackeray concluded by criticizing the Chief Minister’s priorities, questioning the time spent visiting Gujarat and Delhi instead of focusing on the issues faced by the state’s farmers.
