Mumbai Customs Foils Smuggling Attempts, Seizes Over 2.5 Kg Gold Worth 1.39 Cr

Mumbai, 27th February 2024: In a commendable operation, the Airport Commissionerate of Mumbai Customs Zone-III successfully thwarted multiple smuggling attempts on February 26-27, 2024. In four separate cases, a total of 2.59 kg of gold, valued at a staggering 1.39 crores, was confiscated.

The gold, ingeniously concealed within the clothing and personal belongings of passengers, highlighted the sophistication of these smuggling operations. The Customs officials, vigilant and well-trained, detected the illicit activity and swiftly intervened.
