Derailment Causes Disruption on Panvel-CSMT Harbour Line, No Injuries Reported
Mumbai, 29th April 2024: In an early disruption this Monday, a trolley of the Panvel 56 local train derailed while arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on Platform No. 2 at 11:35 AM. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the passengers.
The incident has led to significant disruptions on the Harbour Line, particularly affecting services between Panvel and CSMT. Authorities have redirected inbound trains towards CSMT to terminate at Masjid station instead, while Harbour Line services continue to operate between Vadala and other stations. Efforts to restore normalcy are aggressively underway, with teams working promptly to clear the track and inspect for safety.
Meanwhile, the Main Line services remain unaffected by this incident, continuing to run as per their regular schedule.
