Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health Win Inter Departmental Cricket Finals

Mumbai, 9th March 2024: The Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH) Mumbai office clinched victory in the interdepartmental cricket tournament organized by the Labour Ministry of Maharashtra. From the onset, the team displayed formidable batting prowess, setting a strong foundation for DISH Mumbai’s commendable performance in the tournament. In a commanding final match held at the Kamgar Kalyan Mandal Sports Ground in Mumbai last Sunday, DISH Mumbai comfortably outplayed the Divisional Labour Office, Konkan Region team.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, DISH Mumbai scored 65 runs in the 7-over match, despite losing 2 wickets. In response, the Labour Office, Konkan Region, struggled to reach 47 runs, losing 9 wickets by the end of their innings. Datta Naikwade’s exceptional performance earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match.

Under the adept guidance of Labour Commissioner Satish Deshmukh, alongside Deputy Secretaries Deepak Pokale, Swapnik Kapadnis, Dadasaheb Khatal and other key figures such as D.B. Gore, Director of DISH , D.P. Antapurkar, Director of ‘Steam Boilers’ the tournament was meticulously planned and executed. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth organization of the event. Shreedhar Panda of DISH played a crucial role in coordinating the overall tournament.”
