From Concrete Jungles to Bird Sanctuaries: Aarambh Foundation’s Sparrow Haven

Pune, 17th March 2024: The small bird has indeed found a group of friends, who without fail are relentlessly working to find a nesting place. The bird, which is near extinction and is found in very small numbers in rural areas, is extinct in the suburbs and the urban areas. The reasons are rising urbanization and, the heavy cutting of trees to accommodate the population.

The Aarambh Foundation has found a nest for the tiny bird. The small kit provides a Feeder, a small house and a pot to drink water. Aarambh Foundation has taken a step to improve the number and love for the birds. It is so logical – only our love and kindness can do wonders for the bird’s habitat. It’s natural nesting.

At Aarambh Foundation the bird finds family, friends and also parents who can offer premises, rooftops or gardens for fun and frolic. A lover of the bird says, “I was wondering if this does happen, the bird’s in the small house, and yo!! One fine day, the tiny bird did come to form a small nest. It was fun after that, watching the bird feed the little ones “.

The birds can be real good friends and there is so much to learn from them. Be strong, be industrious to enumerate a few.

Founders of Dreams Reality, Umesh Pawar and Chaitanya Joshi are the

main motivators behind ‘Shelter for Sparrows’ Aarambh Foundation.

The huge task of campaigning, and spreading the word for the tiny bird has been taken up by a team of 100-odd members. The response has been overwhelming.

Rotary Club Sahawas has picked up the thread for the tiny enthusiast, in a unique way. They have agreed to offer it as a project for the interact clubs. The kit has already developed a small bond with the children. They are excited for World Sparrow Day and for the exciting offer to follow the tiny bird to build its nest, and its siblings and watch them become stronger.
