Navi Mumbai, 6th April 2024: Nearly three years after being on the run, a 35-year-old man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl was apprehended by the Unit I team of Navi Mumbai Crime Branch on Thursday. The crime took place in September 2021 in the Rabale MIDC area, where the minor girl was assaulted by her neighbour.

The accused, operating under the alias Dhananjay Lalchand Saroj, committed the heinous act while the girl’s parents and elder sister were away at work.
