Mumbai: Panvel City Police Detain Three Bangladeshi Nationals Living Illegally in Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai, 22nd November 2023: Panvel City Police have detained three Bangladeshi nationals in the vicinity of Panvel bus depot, revealing an illegal stay in Navi Mumbai for several months. The individuals identified as Ali Hafeez Sheikh, Rabiul Manan Sheikh, and Mason Kislu Mulla had entered India from the Bangladesh border without passports. Currently residing in Darave village (Seawoods) in Navi Mumbai, the trio will undergo legal proceedings before being repatriated to their native place in Jamveer Padoli village, Narail District, Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi nationals had been residing in Darave village, Navi Mumbai, for an undisclosed period. The Panvel City Police, under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Nitin Thackeray, took action against the trio four days ago. The individuals were apprehended, and legal proceedings are underway to facilitate their return to Bangladesh.

In light of this incident, a dedicated police team is actively investigating the presence of any additional Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in Navi Mumbai. The authorities are taking measures to ensure the enforcement of immigration laws and maintain the security of the region.
