Pune: Job Opportunity Alert: Pimpri-Chinchwad City Police to Recruit 262 Constables in Maharashtra’s Mega Recruitment Drive

Pimpri Chinchwad, 5th March 2024: Maharashtra State has announced the recruitment of 17,531 police constable positions, with 262 positions allocated for recruitment in the Pimpri-Chinchwad City Police Force. Online applications will be accepted from March 5th to March 31st, 2024. The statewide recruitment includes 9,595 police constable posts, 1,686 driver police constable posts, 4,449 armed police constable posts, 101 bandsman posts, and 1,800 jail police constable posts. The majority of these positions will be in the Brihanmumbai Police Force.

In the Pimpri-Chinchwad City Police Recruitment, there are 79 posts for general candidates, 78 posts for women, 15 posts for athletes, 14 posts for project victims, 4 posts for earthquake victims, 41 posts for ex-servicemen, 11 posts for part-time graduates, 7 posts for police officers, 13 posts for home guards, and 3 posts for orphans. Candidates can submit their applications through the website policerecruitment2024.mahait.org. Since the written examination will be held on the same day across all police units in the state, each candidate is allowed to apply in only one unit throughout Maharashtra. Providing inaccurate information may result in the cancellation of the candidate’s candidature at any stage of the recruitment process.

The initial stage of the recruitment process involves a physical test. Subsequently, a written examination worth 100 marks will be conducted for candidates in a 1:10 ratio from those who have secured at least 50 % marks in the physical test. Candidates must score a minimum of 40 % marks in the written test; those falling below this threshold will be deemed ineligible.

A merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the physical and written tests. Original documents of qualified candidates will undergo verification, and a provisional shortlist will be prepared. A final merit list will then be compiled.

The application fee for police recruitment is Rs 450 for the open category and Rs 350 for the reserved category. Candidates must have passed either the 10th or 12th standard. Eligible candidates falling within the age range of 18 to 28 years are invited to apply for the recruitment process.
