Thane: Golden Retriever Falls from Building, Lands on Girl in Mumbra, Resulting in Fatality
Thane, 7th August 2024: In a tragic incident on Tuesday, a dog fell from the fifth floor of a building in Amrit Nagar, Mumbra, Thane, landing on a 3-year-old girl who was walking on a busy road. The incident occurred at Chirag Mansion, resulting in the girl’s death.
The dog, a golden retriever owned by a resident named Zaid Syed, fell from the building’s terrace onto the girl, who was with her mother at the time. A video clip shows the mother quickly picking up her daughter and rushing her to the hospital, where the girl later succumbed to her injuries. The dog also sustained injuries in the fall.
CCTV footage captured the moment the dog hit the girl, rendering her unconscious. The dog was also knocked unconscious but later regained consciousness and was taken to an animal hospital for treatment.
Police have filed a case and are currently investigating the incident.
