Domestic Discord Turns Deadly in Mumbai: Bandra Woman Arrested for Daughter’s Strangulation

Mumbai, 13th March 2024: In an incident in the western suburb of Bandra, Mumbai, a 40-year-old woman named Tina Bagde was arrested by the police on Monday for allegedly strangling her 19-year-old daughter, Bhumika, to death following an argument at their home. The dispute reportedly arose over the daughter’s love affair, during which the girl bit her mother’s hand.

In a fit of anger, Tina Bagde is said to have strangled her daughter. Subsequently, the family took the victim to a nearby hospital, claiming that she had experienced an epileptic fit. However, a subsequent medical examination contradicted this account, revealing that the cause of death was strangulation.

Upon further investigation and during the interrogation process, Tina Bagde confessed to the crime of killing her daughter. She has been formally placed under arrest by the authorities. The incident sheds light on the complexities surrounding family dynamics and interpersonal conflicts, leading to a heartbreaking outcome.
