Mumbai Police Issues Traffic Advisory for Prime Minister Modi’s Visit, Residents Urged to Plan Travel Routes
Mumbai, 1st April 2024: The Mumbai Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to the city on Monday, aimed at ensuring smooth commuting for residents and visitors. During the period from 7 am to 2 pm, temporary changes will be implemented in the regular traffic flow along various key routes in the city.
Specifically, the following adjustments will be made:
– Rambhau Salgaonkar Road, from the Indu Clinic Junction (Sayyed Jamadar Chowk) to Volga Chowk, will accommodate two-way vehicular traffic.
– Maker Tower 04, spanning from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Usha Mehta Chowk, will also allow for two-way vehicular traffic. Similarly, the stretch from Jamanalal Babaj Marg to NCPA Gate No 04 will permit traffic in both directions.
Additionally, parking restrictions will be enforced in certain areas from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. The affected roads include:

– Nathalal Parekh Road
– Captain Prakash Pethe Road
– Rambhau Salgaonkar Road
– General Jagannath Bhosale Road
– Madam Cama Road
– Barrister Rajni Patel Marg
– Jamanalal Bajaj Marg
– Vinay K Shah Marg
– Ramnath Goika Marg
– Dorabji Tata Road
– NCPA Marg
– Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Marg
– VV Rao Marg
– Best Road
Commuters are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly and follow the provided traffic guidelines to minimize inconvenience during the Prime Minister’s visit.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Mumbai is in conjunction with the 90th-anniversary celebrations of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Upon arrival in the morning, PM Modi will utilize a helicopter to reach INS Shikra, the Indian Navy’s helibase at Colaba, and then proceed by road to the RBI adjacent to Town Hall.
During the event, PM Modi will serve as the chief guest, while Governor Ramesh Bais, CM Eknath Shinde, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, along with Ministers of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Dr Bhagwat Karad, will be guests of honor.
