Planning a Goa Trip? Central Railway Announces 4 Mumbai–Madgaon Special Trains

Mumbai/Goa, 6th August 2026: Central Railway has announced four special train services between Mumbai and Madgaon to cater to the increased passenger demand during the upcoming weekend.

According to the schedule, train no. 01029 Mumbai CSMT–Madgaon Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 12.25 am on August 13 (Thursday) and August 15 (Saturday), reaching Madgaon at 3.15 pm on the same day. Two services will be operated in this direction.

In the return direction, train no. 01030 Madgaon–Mumbai CSMT Special will leave Madgaon at 4.00 pm on August 13 (Thursday) and August 15 (Saturday), arriving at CSMT Mumbai at 3.45 am the following day. Two return services have been scheduled.

The special trains will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali.

The train will comprise one AC 2-Tier coach, five AC 3-Tier coaches, 12 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two Second Seating-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans.

Reservations for train no. 01029 will open on August 8, 2026, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centres and through the IRCTC booking portal. Tickets for the unreserved coaches will be available through the UTS system.

Passengers can also book tickets using the RailOne app. Detailed timings of the special trains at intermediate stations are available through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) and the Indian Railways enquiry portal.
