Navi Mumbai: RTO Takes Action Against More Than 11,000 Vehicles In A Year

Navi Mumbai, 9th February 2023: The Navi Mumbai Sub-Regional Transport has a close eye on the speeding vehicles on Palm Beach Marg, Shiv-Panvel, and Thane-Belapur highways in Navi Mumbai and has taken action against 11,237 speeding vehicles through the speed gun in the last one and a half years and has collected a fine of more than Rs 37 lakh.

Nowadays, numerous incidents of vehicle accidents are coming to light. In this, accidents due to loss of control of the vehicle due to high speed are increasing day by day. Vehicles often pick up speed near Palm Beach Road in the city. So accidents happen regularly on this road. Therefore, the RTO is keeping an eye on the drivers through the speed gun to drive the vehicles within the speed limit as well as to prevent recklessly speeding vehicles. Since November 2021, action has been taken against 11 thousand 237 vehicles. Action is being taken against Asha vehicles that violate the speed limit on the roads every day. Navi Mumbai Sub-Regional Transport Department has started strict enforcement since last year and action has been taken against the vehicles and a fine of Rs 37,47,300 has been recovered. There is a speed limit of 60 km on Palm Beach road and speeding drivers who violate it are being braked through action.

Navi Mumbai Sub Regional Transport is taking action against speeding vehicles on main roads and highways. The RTO fleet now has a speed gun through which stricter enforcement is being carried out.
