Mumbai: PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates Two Vande Bharat Expresses

Mumbai, 10th February 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his hope that the Vande Bharat Express will complete the important work of connecting the two financial centres of Maharashtra, Mumbai and Pune, with its centres. Two Vande Bharat Expresses were flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a grand ceremony held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai today. The first Vande Bharat Express was from Mumbai to Solapur, and the second Vande Bharat Express was from Mumbai to Shirdi. After this inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his thoughts.

“These two Vande Bharat Express coming to Maharashtra will boost tourism and pilgrimage. You can go to Shirdi to see Sai Baba, and you can go to Nashik to see Ramkund. You can also see Akkalkot, Siddheshwar temple and Pandharpur temple by the train going to Solapur,” the PM said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said that when this express passes through the ghats of Sahyadri, passengers can also see amazing beauty here.

“I remember there was a time when MPs used to send a note to the Prime Minister’s Office or the Ministry of Railways and say to see if such and such a train would stop at this station for two minutes or five minutes. Why don’t we have the Vande Bharat Express today? When will it come?,” PM Modi said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said that this is an important difference between the past and the present. The Vande Bharat train is a symbol of modern India. It is a sign of both India’s progress and speed.

“The corridor which has been started in Mumbai will connect the western and eastern suburbs. I congratulate Mumbaikars on this. It is necessary for our country in the 21st century to improve the public transport system. The faster we change it, the faster people’s living conditions will change. That is why the metro network is being extended in the country,” the Prime Minister said.
