Maha Mumbai Metro Installs Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines At Metro Stations For Women Passengers

Mumbai, 4th July 2023: Taking note of the health and hygiene of the women passengers, the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has now taken the decision to install sanitary napkin vending machines at Metro stations 2A (Dahisar to Andheri West) and Metro 2A (Dahisar to Gundvali) routes. Recently, sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed at these metro stations.

MMMOCL is providing these advanced facilities to create a safe, inclusive, and comfortable environment for women passengers. As a part of this initiative, the MMMOCL has now started providing sanitary napkin vending machines at metro stations, reflecting the corporation’s commitment to the health and hygiene of women passengers.

The initial deployment of these vending machines has been successfully completed at five metro stations: Borivali, Kandivali, Akurli, Gundvali, and Dahisar. As per demand, the number of vending machines will be expanded across other stations within the metro network. MMMOCL collaborates with the local Non-Governmental organisations (NGOs) to effectively implement this initiative.
