Mumbai: Massive Fire Breaks Out At Kapol Bank In Andheri East; No Loss of Life Reported

Andheri, 24th July 2023: In the early hours of Monday morning, a massive fire engulfed the Kapol Bank, situated in the elite area of Andheri East, Mumbai. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the accident, but it has been learned that a large number of things, such as furniture, computers, and some cash money, have burned up in this fire, incurring heavy losses to the bank.

The incident, which occurred around 4:30 a.m., sent shockwaves through the city as residents who were going for the morning walk noticed smoke coming out of the Kapola Bank building. Immediately, they informed the local police and fire brigade teams about the incident. After getting information about the incident, four cars of the Andheri police and fire brigade reached the spot.

Immediate action was taken as the brave fire brigade personnel swiftly swung into action, managing to bring the entire fire under control within a few hours. After that, the cooling work had been taken up.

Thankfully, no loss of life was reported in the incident, as no employees were present in the bank when the fire broke out. Similarly, nearby shops in the vicinity of the bank building were closed in the morning hours, which further ensured that fire did not erupt in large numbers, avoiding heavy loss.

Although the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, early speculation suggests that a short circuit might have triggered the blaze. The flames ravaged the bank’s interior, resulting in substantial damage, including the complete destruction of furniture and valuable cash reserves worth crores of rupees.
