Thane: Young Man Duped Of Rs Five Lakhs In Job Scam At Dombivli

Dombivli, 26th July 2023: A citizen residing in Mumbai’s Kandivli area has duped a young man from Dombivli by deceiving him with false promises of a job opportunity. The accused, identified as Pradeep Siddharth Dhone, allegedly pretended to hold connections with Malaysian Airlines and claimed to offer the victim, Aditya Deepak Dixit, a job opportunity in Admiral Aviation.

According to the police report filed at Manpada police station, the fraudulent activity began in March 2019 and has continued till date. Aditya, who resided at Shri Ji Residency, at Manpada Road in Dombivli, had come into contact with Pradeep Dhone four years ago. During their acquaintance, Pradeep, seemingly associated with Malaysian Airlines, convinced Aditya that lucrative training opportunities were available at Admiral Aviation.

Believing Pradeep’s words, Aditya decided to invest the money in hopes of getting a job. The accused managed to extort a substantial amount of Rs 5 lakh 20 thousand from Aditya under the pretext of a training fee. However, after the payment was made, Pradeep continuously delayed and evaded Aditya’s inquiries about the training schedule, giving excuses to buy more time.

As time passed, Aditya’s suspicions grew, and he began to suspect that he was being deceived by Pradeep. Frustrated and anxious, Aditya demanded the return of his money. In response, Pradeep reluctantly returned Rs 2 lakh 20 thousand to Aditya, but the remaining three lakhs were still pending. Despite Aditya’s relentless demand for money, Pradeep refused to return the remaining amount.

Feeling cheated, Aditya approached Manpada police station to file a formal complaint against Pradeep. The police have now registered a case of fraud against Pradeep Dhone based on Aditya’s statement.
