Mumbai: Trainee Air Hostess Found Slayed In Her Flat In Mumbai’s Marol Area; Investigation Underway

Marol, 4th September 2023: The suspicious killing of a trainee air hostess cast a pall of fear among the residents of the Marol area of Mumbai, as on Sunday, the Powai Police found a 25-year-old lady murdered in her house.
A gruesome incident has caused a stir in the area after the killer killed a lady by brutally slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. The Powai Police have now sprung into action, launching an intensive investigation into this heinous crime.
According to the police, a 25-year-old lady, identified as Rupal Ogre, was found dead in Flat No. 306, C Wing, NG Complex Society, K Marwah Marga, Marol area. She was a trainee air hostess. Rupal, originally from Chhattisgarh, had come to Mumbai for work in April 2023.
The lady was living in this flat with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend. However, both had gone to their village in Raipur eight days ago. On Sunday, her family tried to contact her by phone, but she was not picking up the phone.
The family then informed some of her friends, who went to Rupal’s house in NG Complex Society on Sunday evening, but the door of the house was locked from inside. As no one responded to the ringing bells for a long time, her friends perturbedly called the police. Finally, when the police came, they broke the door and entered the house. At that time, Rupal was found dead in the house with her neck slit with a sharp weapon.
The police immediately sent her body to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar for a post-mortem. Prima facie, doctors confirmed no evidence of sexual abuse.
Though the actual reason behind Rupal’s murder is unclear at the moment, the police have registered a case of murder against an unknown person and started an investigation. The police have formed three teams to search for the killer.
