Mumbai, 30 September 2023: In a heartwarming display of integrity and commitment to duty, Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers exhibited honesty at its best. A lady passenger traveling in the A1 coach of the 12449 Goa-Chandigarh Sampark Kranti Express had forgotten her bag, which contained a substantial sum of 9.78 lakhs in gold and cash, during her deboarding at Panvel.
Upon receiving information about the lost bag, RPF staff members, including Shri. Siddheshwar Patil, Smt. Trishala Dhumal, and Smt. Roshani Pandey, immediately sprang into action. Their dedication to their duty and the well-being of passengers led them to take swift action to recover the lost belongings.
The diligent RPF officers tracked down the bag, which was still on board the train en route to Vasai. Their relentless efforts paid off, as they successfully located the bag and ensured its safe return to the distressed passenger.
This commendable act of honesty and the commitment to the principles of service by these RPF officers serve as a shining example of the values upheld by our railway personnel. It reinforces the trust and faith that passengers can have in the railway authorities, knowing that their well-being and property are in capable and honest hands.
The passenger, whose valuable possessions were promptly returned, expressed her deep gratitude to the RPF officers for going above and beyond their call of duty to ensure her belongings were safeguarded and returned.
