Thane: All Maharashtra Mountaineer Federation Organised Exhibition Of Historical Artefacts From Shivaji Maharaj’s Time In Dombivli

Dombivli, 30th September 2023: On the backdrop of bringing Shivaji Maharaj’s tiger claws to Maharashtra on November 16, on the occasion of the 350th coronation ceremony of Shivaji Maharaj, an exhibition is organised in Dombivli West so that school-going children and history aficionados can see the weaponry like swords, shields, daggers, armour, and coins used during the reign of Shivaji Maharaj.

This exhibition is organised by the All Maharashtra Mountaineer Federation to increase locals’ awareness on daily life and notable events that occurred during Shivaji Maharaj’s epoch. In this exhibition, history buffs could have a close look at various weapons of that time and learn various historical facts about that period. Interestingly, a large number of school-going children are flocking to see the exhibition.

Notably, the All Maharashtra Mountaineer Federation has created a replica of Vijaydurg and Suvarnadurg forts in fibre and 350-year-old Shiva swords, daggers, armour, tigresses, dhope swords, belts, shields, bows and arrows, spears, children’s weapons, floors, axes, etc. in the exhibition premise.

In this exhibition, coins of the Maratha Empire from all over Hindustan have also been displayed. Additionally, various guides and volunteers here are informing the coming people about the history and conspectus of it.
