Thane: Molestation Of Samosa Selling Woman Leads To Police Arrest In Kalyan

Kalyan, 7th October 2023: A 50-year-old woman selling samosas in Kalyan was molested by a 36-year-old person on Wednesday, October 4. A case has been registered at Kolsevadi police station based on the complaint given by the victim woman in this matter.

According to the complaint, the name of the accused is Santosh Tiwari, alias Manda (36). He resides in Mumtaz Niwas, a neighbourhood in Kalyan East’s Katemanivali district. In her lawsuit, the plaintiff claimed that three years prior, the accused had similarly made an attempt to molest the woman. She, however, chose to ignore him at the time. But after experiencing numerous occurrences of this nature, she felt compelled to file a formal complaint.

The plaintiff runs a Samosa at a small stall to manage her daily expenses. On Wednesday, the woman was waiting for the girl in front of her house as she was late to come home from work. At this time, the accused, Santosh, approached the woman on a two-wheeler and tried to molest her.

Following that, the woman registered a complaint against Santosh Tiwari at Kolsevadi Police Station. Based on the complaint, police apprehended the accused and took him into custody.
