Thane: Violent Clash Erupts In Vadavali Village Near Kalyan As Shiv Sena Officials Allegedly Attack BJP Party Workers
Kalyan, 28th October 2023: In a tumultuous incident that unfolded in Vadavali village near Kalyan, a heated altercation between two rival groups of villagers turned violent, resulting in a case being filed at the Khadakpada police station.
Former Shiv Sena corporator and sub-city chief, Duryodhan Patil, along with his sons, Vaibhav Patil and Pankaj Patil, are accused of assaulting Manohar Patil, a BJP worker, and his associate Kamalakar Patil, wielding firearms.
The altercation began when Manohar Patil and Kamalakar Patil were conducting an inspection of work in Vadavali village, which ultimately led to a confrontation with the Patil family. Allegedly, the Patils demanded to know why the BJP workers were involved in the village’s projects and questioned their authority to undertake the work.
In a shocking turn of events, they purportedly brandished firearms, intimidating the BJP workers. Subsequently, Vaibhav and Pankaj physically assaulted Kamalakar Patil. During the altercation, Vaibhav Patil reportedly struck Manohar on the head with a sword, resulting in an injury.
In light of these events, a case has been officially registered against Duryodhan Patil, Vaibhav Patil, and Pankaj Patil at the Khadakpada police station.
