Accidental Revolver Discharge Injures Three at Wagle Estate in Thane

Thane, 7th January 2024: In a regrettable incident at Chamunda Fabricators in Wagle Estate, Thane, three individuals, including the company owner, suffered injuries after a revolver accidentally discharged during a cleaning process.

The mishap transpired on Saturday around 5:30 pm when Mohammad Umar Sheikh, the owner of the company and a licensed revolver holder, unintentionally fired a round while cleaning his firearm. The resulting injuries were sustained by Mohammad Umar Sheikh, Bipin Kumar Jagjivan Jaiswal, and Rahul Kumar Shekharpuram Jaiswal.

The injured parties, identified as Mohammad Umar Shaikh (50), the company owner from Rah Lokmanya Nagar, Thane; Bipin Kumar Jagjivan Jaiswal (21), residing in Rupa Devi Pada, Wagle Estate, Thane; and Rahul Kumar Shekharpuram Jaiswal (23), residing in Wagle Estate, Thane, are currently receiving treatment.

Upon being informed about the incident, Amar Singh Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle 5, and Gajanan Kabdule, Assistant Commissioner of Police Wagle Estate Division, promptly visited the scene to assess the situation.

All three injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at Thane Civil Hospital.
