Accused Arrested For Putting Up Placard For Chhota Rajan’s Birthday

Mumbai, 16th January 2023: The Kurar police have registered an extortion case against the accused who put up a placard in Malad on the occasion of the birthday of notorious gangster Chhota Rajan (Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje) and have arrested them. These accused had also demanded extortion from a businessman in Borivali, saying that he was the handiwork of Chhota Rajan. The court has given four days of police custody to the accused.

On the occasion of Chhota Rajan’s birthday, a kabaddi tournament was organized on the 14th and 15th of January at Ganesh Maidan in the Tanaji Nagar area of Kurar Village, Malad East. Boards were put up in the area for this purpose. On it, Chhota Rajan was mentioned as a ‘pillar’ and wished for his birthday. As soon as this board appeared in Malad, it was circulated everywhere. Police took action against the concerned. A case was registered against six accused in this case. The accused also included a businessman who made the boards. A case of extortion has also been filed against the accused.

Photos of notorious gangster Chhota Rajan’s birthday celebration have been circulating on social media for two days. In this regard, the Tilaknagar police registered a case against Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Navi Mumbai contact head Nilesh (Appa) Paradkar and arrested him on Saturday night. Paradkar celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with a picture of Chhota Rajan. Tilaknagar police registered a case after these pictures were circulated.
