New Delhi, 9th May 2022: Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ is one of the superhit films of the year 2022. The story of the film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. The film was released in theatres, the first day’s collection was also not very outstanding. But as soon as the word-to-mouth publicity of the film started, the crowd at the ticket window also started increasing. The Kashmir Files divided Bollywood into two parts. At that time too, superstar Akshay Kumar had praised the film, on which director Vivek Agnihotri shared the video and thanked him. But now the same Vivek Agnihotri has accused Akshay Kumar.
Vivek Agnihotri recently said in an interview with RJ Raunak that he did not get support from Bollywood for the film. Vivek further said that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’ was a flop, due to which he was compelled to praise ‘The Kashmir Files’. During this, RJ Raunak says, “All the people of Bollywood have appreciated your film.” On this Vivek Agnihotri replied, “Tell me the name like…”
RJ Raunak further said, “‘Akshay Kumar had praised the film.” On which Vivek replies, “Because of compulsion and peer pressure he had to said that. What will he say when a hundred people will stand in front and ask questions that your film did not work but what is your response on The Kashmir Files?”
He further added that “I was in a function in Bhopal, so Akshay had to speak.” Vivek stated no one praised him behind the cameras, nor did anyone praise him by messaging. “What was happening was that Akshay used to go to promote his film and if media people asked questions on The Kashmir files, he had to answer,” Vivek explained further.
