Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Took Review Of BMC’s Disaster Control Room

Mumbai, 5th July 2022: In view of incessant rains in Mumbai city and suburbs, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Disaster Control Room of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also took stock of the situation due to the incessant rains in the Mumbai city and suburbs in the last 24 hours.

Chief Minister Shinde said that there are 25 such places in the railways, where citizens would not face any kind of problem after the railway services are stopped due to rain. To this end, in coordination with the Suburban Railways, BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) and the BMC, alternative transport should be made available to the people. In addition to this, arrangements should also be made for snacks for them so that the citizens do not face any problem. The BMC should take immediate action to repair the roads on a large scale due to rain.

As the current situation of the entire rainy season is being fully monitored from the control room by the CCTVs installed in Mumbai city and suburbs, if the common people face any problems due to rain, assistance should be immediately provided to them, Chief Minister Shri Shinde instructed.
