CIDCO Declares 4,158 Houses On Sale On Occasion Of Ganesh Chaturthi

Mumbai, 31st August 2022: On the occasion of Republic Day, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) implemented the sale process of 6,000 houses in January.

After eight months, 4,158 houses in Taloja, Kharghar, Dronagiri, and Kalamboli have been declared for sale under the Ganeshotsav Dhamaka. The sale of 3,754 houses for general citizens and 404 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will start on Wednesday. Along with these flats, 245 shops and six offices will be given on lease.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been announced under the Central Government’s ‘Housing For All’ initiative. Accordingly, CIDCO has set a target of 1,06,000 houses. For this, houses are being constructed at a fast pace. These houses are being built for the low-income group and economically weaker sections. To achieve this goal, CIDCO has made flats available in various housing complexes on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

CIDCO Managing Director Dr Sanjay Mukherjee has promoted the creation of Mahagriha. Thus, CIDCO has been continuously selling houses, plots, shops, and offices (commercial premises) through various schemes to all sections of society. The new income limit for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been fixed at Rs 6 lakh, while the subsidy amount is Rs 2.5 lakh.
