Driver Absconds With Rs 22 lakh and 43 thousand From Thakur Complex In Kandivali

Mumbai, 19th July 2023: An incident has come to light in the Kandivali East area where the driver ran away with the cash of his owner, which his owner had brought to pay at the ATM. The accused driver, identified as Sagar Sonwane, has stolen cash worth 22 lakh and 43 thousand rupees. A complaint has been registered against the accused at Samata Nagar Police Station, and police are investigating the case.

In this case, the plaintiff, Rajaram Ghadigaonkar, is working in a private corporate company. His company works by taking cash from various banks and delivering it to the ATM machines of those banks. As usual, Rajaram Ghadigaonkar left the bank on July 15 with three and a half crores of cash to deposit in the ATM machines.

This time, he was accompanied by two of his colleagues and the driver. After depositing the amount in other ATM machines, he withdrew 22 lakh and 43 thousand rupees from the ATM machine in Thakur Complex, Kandivali. Afterwards, he went to deposit that money in an ATM. At that time, the accused driver ran away with the cash. When Ghadigaonkar returned, the driver was not there. There was also no cash in the van. He searched for the driver, but he could not find him at that time.

Ghadigaonkar tried to call the driver, but his mobile was switched off. Finally, he filed a complaint at the Samata Nagar police station. Accordingly, the police registered a case against the driver, Sagar Sonawane. The police are investigating the matter with the help of CCTV footage.
