Mumbai, 26th June 2021: The first run of the Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express special with LHB coaches started today. The highlight was attaching a bedecked vistadome coach for the first time on this route which enabled passengers to enjoy the scenic beauty and experience of being with nature. All the 44 seats in the vistadome coach were booked.
Passengers took selfies at the selfie point which was specially placed near the coach at CSMT platform. A passenger also cut the cake resembling the inside of the coach on the occasion.
Umesh Mishra who was travelling with his wife and kid thanked Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways for introducing the vistadome coach which was available only in foreign countries. The big windows and adjustable seats have made his kid enjoy the ride altogether.
Another passenger said that he is a regular traveller between Mumbai and Pune and attaching this vistadome coach will make his journey enjoyable in Bhor ghat.
Sayalee, who was travelling in the vistadome for the first time said she enjoyed the views through the big window panes and the greenery during monsoon has made the joy double. She thanked Indian Railways for introducing this coach on this route.
The train reached Pune at the scheduled time.
The passengers can enjoy sceneries while passing near Matheran hill (Near Neral), Songir hill (near Palasdhari), Ulhas River (near Jambrung), Ulhas Valley, areas of Khandala, Lonavala, etc. and the waterfalls, tunnels on South East Ghat section.
