Galwan Martyr Col Santosh Babu’s Wife Takes Charge As Deputy Collector

Hyderabad, November 3, 2020: Galwan martyr Colonel Santosh Babu’s wife Santoshi, on Monday, received an appointment letter from the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district collector Anita Ramachandran to join as a deputy collector.
Earlier, she had joined as a deputy collector in the Revenue department. On August 16, she commenced her work in the department and soon got an appointment letter to join as a deputy collector. She took charge on Monday.
Colonel Babu was martyred in the Galwan Valley clashes between India and China on June 15 in Ladakh. He was the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment. In the clashes between the two armies, 19 other soldiers were also martyred along with Col Santosh Babu. He is now survived by his wife Santoshi and two kids.
This gesture from the Telangana government is highly appreciated. The family of the martyr who fiercely fought for the country deserves this.
