Ghatkopar Police Arrest Man With 40 Fake 500-Rupee Notes

Mumbai, 29th August 2022: The Ghatkopar police arrested an accused who came to sell fake currency notes. The police have seized 40 500-rupee notes from the accused and are conducting further investigation.

 

The Ghatkopar police received information that a suspect was bringing fake notes near the Central Bank in the Sarvodaya Signal area in Ghatkopar. Accordingly, the Crime Detection Department Team of the Ghatkopar Police Station laid a trap in the area on Sunday night. A suspect with the relevant description came to the attention of the police. The police immediately swooped down and took him into custody.

 

 

 

During the search, a total of 40 fake currency notes of Rs 500 were found in his possession. The accused has been identified as Sarjerao Patil (age 55). The police are investigating further regarding where he brought these notes from and the number of users.
