Gold Worth Rs 26.45 Lakh Seized At Pune Airport, Passenger Arrested
Viman Nagar, 9th May 2022: The officials from the customs department have seized 500 grams of 24 carat gold from a passenger who arrived on a SpiceJet flight from Dubai on May 5. The gold is valued at Rs 26.45 lakhs.
The gold was in the form of crude bangles and chains. The gold was seized from the passenger, and both the passenger and the organiser at Pune (who had come to receive her at the airport) were arrested under the provisions of the Customs Act.
Further investigations are underway.
