Heavy Rain Warning Continues in Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad Districts

Mumbai, 20th July 2023: Continuous rainfall has been lashing Mumbai and Thane cities since Thursday morning, with the Meteorological Department issuing heavy rain warnings for Thane, Palghar, and Raigad districts on both Thursday and Friday.

The inclement weather has led to heavy downpours in several parts of the state since Monday, with Mumbai city, suburbs, and other areas experiencing heavy rains on Wednesday.

As the rain persists in Mumbai and Thane on Thursday, the Meteorological Department has reissued warnings for Thane and Palghar districts to be prepared for heavy rainfall. Additionally, Raigad district has also been alerted to heavy rains on both Thursday and Friday. In light of the forecast, authorities are urging citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and remain indoors in safe places.
