High Tide Causes Temporary Closure of Haji Ali Dargah Gate in Mumbai

Mumbai, 15th June 2023: The Haji Ali Dargah Gate, a popular religious site in Mumbai, will be temporarily closed for ziyarat (pilgrimage) due to high tides in the sea. The closure will be in effect on specific dates and times to ensure the safety of visitors.

According to a public notification issued by Mohammed Ahmed Taher, the Administrative Officer for the Haji Ali Dargah Trust, the gate closure schedule is as follows:
Thursday, 15th June 2023: Gate closed from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Friday, 16th June 2023: Gate closed from 09:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Saturday, 17th June 2023: Gate closed from 10:15 a.m. to 01:15 p.m.
Sunday, 18th June 2023: Gate closed from 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
Monday, 19th June 2023: Gate closed from 11:30 a.m. to 02:30 p.m.
Tuesday, 20th June 2023: Gate closed from 12:15 p.m. to 03:15 p.m.
Wednesday, 21st June 2023: Gate closed from 12:45 p.m. to 03:45 p.m.
Thursday, 22nd June 2023: Gate closed from 01:15 p.m. to 04:15 p.m.
Friday, 23rd June 2023: Gate closed from 01:45 p.m. to 04:45 p.m.
Saturday, 24th June 2023: Gate closed from 02:30 p.m. to 05:30 p.m.
Visitors are urged to plan their visit accordingly and take note of the gate closure timings to avoid any inconvenience. The temporary closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of the devotees during high tide periods.

The Haji Ali Dargah, located on an islet in the Arabian Sea, is a revered Islamic pilgrimage site and attracts thousands of visitors daily. The Dargah holds significant historical and cultural importance, drawing devotees from all walks of life.
