Investigate Works Of Mumbai Municipal Corporation In 25 Years: Nana Patole

Mumbai, 1st November 2022: Congress State President Nana Patole has demanded, “If you want to investigate the corruption in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, why do it only for two years, then do the work of the last 25 years.” He also said that the BJP, which is in power in the municipality, will not be able to get rid of itself.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s government has ordered an inquiry by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) into the work done in the Mumbai Municipality during the last two years. Nana Patole said the order given by the government to investigate was out of political hatred. “If BJP wants to get rid of corruption, why investigate only two years? Instead, investigate the works of the last 25 years,” he stated. Even when the BJP was a partner in power in the municipality, the malfeasance will be exposed, Patole warned.

The government has not been able to provide relief to any entity in the last three months. The Congress delegation met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday and demanded that this government should be dissolved to give relief to the people
