The admission process for Class XI is conducted exclusively through online mode. In the second part of the 11th admission form, students can secure admission in colleges based on their preferred choices. This stage is considered crucial in the online admission process. This year, students will once again compete for admissions in reputable colleges. The detailed schedule for filling the second part of the 11th admission process will be announced today. Class XI admissions in Junior Colleges across Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati municipal areas of the state are being conducted through the Central Online System.

Students are awarded additional marks for excelling in arts and sports subjects. This year, 173,586 students from the state have received extra marks. Although Latur division has the highest number of students scoring 100 percent marks, the number of students securing extra marks is relatively lower compared to other divisions. The highest number of students receiving extra marks are from the Kolhapur division, totaling 42,649 students. Additionally, 1,768 students in the state excelled in classical dance, 2,318 in classical music, 1,389 in musical instruments, 24,160 in folk art, 16 in drama, 117,783 in painting, 25,161 in NCC, and 943 in scout guide.

A total of 33,306 students in the state have received ATKT (Allowed To Keep Term). These students are also eligible for 11th admission. If they pass the failed subject during the re-examination, their admission to Class 11th will be confirmed. Furthermore, 86,594 students who initially failed the examination are eligible for the re-examination. If these students clear the exam, which is scheduled for July, they will also become eligible for admission to Class 11th or other courses this year.

Efforts are being made at all levels to integrate students from marginalized communities into the mainstream society. Students were given the option to mention their distinct identities in the admission form. This year, 23 students from marginalized backgrounds have achieved success in the examination, including 9 students from Mumbai division, 7 from Pune division, and 3 each from Nagpur and Aurangabad divisions.

This year’s 10th-grade result is the lowest in the last four years. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, most of the 10th-grade subjects were examined before the implementation of the lockdown. The result that year was 95.30 percent. In 2021, there were no exams at all, and the evaluation was based on averages. The result that year was 99.95 percent. Last year, the exams proceeded smoothly, but the syllabus was reduced. The result for that year was 96.94 percent.
