Man Absconding In Bihar Murder Case Found In Thane

Thane, 2nd January 2023: A man who fled from Bihar after committing a murder has been arrested from Thane in Maharashtra. He was absconding for the last year. An official informed on Monday that the 38-year-old man absconding since December 2021 in a murder case has been arrested by the police from the Thane district of Maharashtra. An FIR was lodged at Nathnagar police station in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar, based on which the police arrested him.

The police officer said that on 14th December 2021, a 27-year-old man, Imran, was allegedly shot dead by the accused from Bihar – Jibril Jako Pathan. Jibril Jako Pathan had fled with Imran’s motorcycle and Rs 10,000 in cash after killing him. Senior Inspector Naresh Pawar of Nizampura police station said he had come to Bhiwandi town in Thane. Jibril Jako Pathan was living in Bhiwandi city, hiding his real identity for many days.

A Thane police officer said that the Bihar Police had received a tip-off about Jibril Jako Pathan, absconding on murder charges for a year. The Bihar Police immediately contacted the Thane police after receiving the tip-off. They had also sought help from the Bhiwandi police to nab the accused. After this, Thane police traced the person and arrested him on Saturday. The official said that after arresting the accused, he was handed over to the Bihar Police.
