MovieMax Chain in Sion, Mumbai, Among Theaters Showcasing Election Results

Mumbai, 1st June 2024: In a bid to enhance civic engagement, numerous movie theatres across Maharashtra, including Mumbai, will broadcast the election results on large screens. MovieMax chain in Sion, Mumbai, will be among those showcasing the electoral process on the day of vote counting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024, coinciding with the culmination of the seventh and final phase of voting on Saturday, June 1, with results announced on June 4.

Citizens nationwide will be riveted to their TV screens, with news channels providing predictions and analysis throughout the evening. According to PayTm, participating theatres such as SM5 Kalyan and MovieMax chain in Sion, along with venues in Eternity Mall Thane, Kanjurmarg, Wonder Mall Thane, and Mira Road, will join this unique initiative.

Screenings of the election results will commence at 9 am and continue for six hours. Ticket prices for witnessing the vote counting in theatres will range from Rs 99 to Rs 300.

This initiative extends beyond Mumbai, encompassing neighbouring cities as well. In Pune, MovieMax Amanora will screen the results, while residents of Nashik can head to The Zone on College Road, and those in Nagpur can attend MovieMax Eternity Nagar.

The primary objective of this initiative is to transform the event into a more engaging and communal experience, departing from the traditional method of result-watching.
