Supriya Pathare Shares Video from Gridlocked Mumbai Roads: Urges Only Essential Travel
Mumbai, 1st June 2024: The backbone of Mumbai’s transportation network, the local train system, is currently facing temporary disruptions. Central Railway has initiated a 63-hour mega block, causing considerable inconvenience to commuters. While a limited number of trains are still operational, they are running at reduced speeds and with extended intervals, resulting in lengthy waits of up to half an hour between trains. Consequently, many commuters have opted for road travel, leading to severe traffic congestion and multiple jams throughout Mumbai. The mega block repercussions have also impacted artists working in the Central Railways vicinity, as highlighted by actress Supriya Pathare in a shared video. Pathare urged people to venture out only if necessary.
Speaking from her car, Supriya Pathare described the disruption to her shooting schedule due to the mega block. Despite leaving Thane at 8 am, she found herself still stuck in traffic en route to Madh by 12:30 pm. The Ghodbunder area, in particular, was paralyzed, with vehicles at a standstill for over an hour. Additionally, a container overturning on the Mulund Airoli Bridge further exacerbated the traffic gridlock. She cautioned against unnecessary travel, citing difficulties in procuring food and water on the road.
Pathare also appealed to fellow artists who need to reach shooting locations promptly to plan their journeys well in advance, minimizing disruptions to filming schedules.
Supriya Pathare boasts an extensive career in both Marathi television shows and films. She is renowned for her roles in “Pudhcha Paaul” as Kanchanmala and “Honar Soon Mi Hya Gharchi” as Mothi Aai. Currently, she is featured in the show “Sadhi Manasa,” while her latest film “Naach Ga Ghuma” is enjoying success at the box office.
In an earlier interview this year, Supriya Pathare opened up about the financial challenges she faced when her son’s restaurant closed down. Despite initially gaining popularity and attracting numerous celebrities, the restaurant encountered setbacks when several staff members absconded, leading to financial strain. Pathare revealed resorting to selling some of her jewellery to help restart the restaurant’s operations.
