Mumbai: 14 Injured And One Dead In Fire At Hotel

Mumbai, 18th December 2022: 14 people were injured and one died in the fire that broke out at the Juno Pizza Hotel on the first floor of the Viswas building in Ghatkopar East. Seven of the 13 injured have improved and have been sent home from the hospital. Doctors said that the condition of one admitted to Rajawadi Hospital is critical, and the condition of the remaining four is stable. Also, one patient was shifted to a hospital in Airoli.

 

The fire that broke out in the Juno Pizza Hotel on the ground floor of the Viswas building in the Ghatkopar (East) area on Saturday afternoon also affected the Parekh Hospital in the same building. 22 people from this hospital were immediately shifted to another hospital. Sources informed that the injured have been shifted to Rajwadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, and seven out of 13 people who are undergoing treatment at the hospital have been sent home after treatment. One person is critical, and the condition of four persons is stable. One of the injured was shifted from Rajwadi to Airoli Burn Hospital.

 

Korshi Dedhia (46) died in this accident. Tania Kamble (18), who suffered 18 to 20 per cent burns, has been shifted to the burn hospital, and her condition is critical. Aditya Sahathiya (14) is also in serious condition and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Jai Yadav (51), Sanjay Tadvi (40), Nitin Vesavkar (35), and Prabhu Swamy (38), who suffocated due to smoke in this accident, are undergoing treatment at the hospital and their condition is stable. Tukaram Ghag (40), Sher Bahadur Parihar (46), Kulsum Shaikh (20), Sana Khan (30), Hitesh Karani (49), Sunar (42), and Anil Govind Madge were sent home from the hospital as their condition improved.
