Mumbai: Assistant Commissioner Warns Of One Day Fast Against Obstruction Of Sewerage Channel Work

Malad, 20th December 2022: Assistant Commissioner Vinod Mishra has warned that a one-day symbolic fast will be held against the politicians and officials who have repeatedly obstructed the work of laying a new sewerage channel to Santoshi Mata Mandir by political parties and the Municipal Corporation. The reply has been given through a written letter to the department. A copy of the same has also been given to the Municipal Commissioner.

 

The work of laying a new sewage channel from the Bank to Santoshi Mata Mandir was started by the Municipal Corporation in 2019 with the efforts of Vinod Mishra. After the work started, it was stopped by various political parties Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray Group), Nationalist Congress, and Congress. A discussion was held in Narmada Hall with the municipal council, political parties and police officials to resume work. After that, the work started. The work was again stopped due to the monsoon. As the monsoon ended, the contractor asked for the rest of the work and all the permissions were obtained. Then on 16th December 2022 at 11 PM. The work of laying the sewerage channel has been started. After starting the work again, the Municipal Corporation officials from different political parties Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress, and Congress, prohibited the contractor from working and also stopped the work. The work of public interest was stopped by Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress party on Tuesday, 20th December 2022 at 10.30 am. In this letter, he said that a one-day symbolic hunger strike will be held in front of Ramesh Hotel, near the taxi stand, against the party and municipal officials who stopped work.
