Mumbai: Case Filed Against Eight People For Cheating During Police Recruitment Exam
Mumbai, 7th March 2023: An official reported on Monday that an offence had been filed against eight people for allegedly cheating during the physical examination for the Mumbai police recruitment drive.
According to the officer, the event happened on Friday at the police training site in Marol, where a recruiting drive for constables was taking place.
Candidates must do a 1,600-meter run with tags provided to pass the physical examination. The officer claimed that an examiner saw the accused passing these tags back and forth as they registered for the test.
According to PTI, eight people were charged with violating section 420 (cheating) and other pertinent articles of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on Saturday.
