Mumbai: CBI Arrests CSMT Station Director In Bribery Case
Mumbai, 24 July 2021: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested a Station Director (IRTS Officer), CSMT, Central Railway and another official in a bribery case.
A case was registered against the accused on the allegations of demanding undue advantage in the form of bribe of R 10,000 from the complainant (a contractor) for allowing him to operate his contract without any problems. CBI laid a trap and caught the said official for accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from the Complainant on the alleged directions of said Station Director.
Searches are being conducted today at the premises of accused.
The arrested accused will be produced tomorrow before the Competent Court at Mumbai.
