Mumbai: Central Railway Passengers Re-Check Local Delays, Schedule Disrupted Due To Technical Glitch

Mumbai, 30th October 2022: Central Railway passengers were once again hit by the delay of local trains during rush hours on Saturday evening. An emergency chain pulls in one express train, while a technical fault in the CSMT-Titwala local affected the local schedule, and both slow and fast locals to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) were running ten to fifteen minutes late.

At 7:28 pm, there was a technical fault in CSMT-Titwala local near Thane station. It took seven minutes to fix the fault. After that, passengers in a coach pulled the emergency chain in train number 12289 Nagpur Duronto Express. The incident near the CSMT station disrupted the schedule of local express arriving and departing CSMT. Slow locals were disrupted. Commuters returning from work were affected as local trains started running late by 10 to 15 minutes.

Passengers had to face congestion in local trains. The local schedule on Central Railway has been continuously disrupted for the past few months. Along with technical failure, there are cases of emergency chain pulls in mail-express trains for no reason or minor reasons, and due to this, the Central Railways’ local schedule has been disturbed.
